4 Month ago I was lucky enough to receive a BlackBerry Z10 and in that 4 month I’ve used it a lot however not as much as I would like to have. Why? Well the answer is simple and surprisingly it has nothing to do with apps, it’s the battery life.
3 days after I received the BlackBerry Z10 I wrote my “BlackBerry Z10 Battery Life – Good or Bad? You Decide” post on the site as I had found the battery life to be one of the worst I had encountered for any handset and yes I could have wend out and bought a spare battery but then I would need to swap the battery out frequently so the alternative was a portable charger.
I already had 2 portable chargers however I’m a bit anal when it comes to charging devices, I only like to charge devices with the official chargers and I also only like to use official batteries (call me weird).
At the launch event, BlackBerry showed off the BlackBerry Z10 Battery Charger Bundle however they were ridiculously slow to launch it so I put the Z10 in it’s box and decided to wait until now. I now have the BlackBerry Z10 Battery Charger Bundle so how does it fair and was my problem the battery itself?

[toggle title=”Design” state=”close” ]The BlackBerry Z10 Battery Charger Bundle has one of the most unusual designs of a portable battery charger yet it seems to “just work”.
The great thing about the design is you can carry multiple Z10 batteries and swap them out via the portable unit rather than having to remove the battery from the device itself.
The one strange thing though is that the logo on the back of the device, when correct way up, causes the label on the inside to be upside down (silly designers).
The cable to connect to the device is tucked away inside the charging unit very neatly however connecting it to the device is rather annoying as the cable is short and very rigid.

[toggle title=”Conclusion” state=”open” ]The BlackBerry Z10 Battery Charger Bundle is a must have for any Z10 owner. Despite it being rigid in design the cost of the unit and it’s flexibility to carry and use multiple batteries makes this a more than useful accessory. [/toggle]
